Originally from Southern New Jersey, Michael is a Brooklyn based Costume Designer. He is a proud member of the United Scenic Artists Local USA 829 Union IATSE. In 2022 he began an apprenticeship with The Juilliard School specializing in costumes, working throughout the Drama, Dance, and Opera division productions. He has studied in London at Rutgers Conservatory in Shakespeare’s Globe, under the guidance of Michael Pavelka, and under the tutelage of Jenny Tiramani at The School of Historical Dress. Michael’s most recent design credits include She Kills Monsters and Holy Week at Rutgers Conservatory. Assistant credits include The Queen of Versailles at the Emerson Colonial Theater and The Great Gatsby on Broadway. Upcoming work includes assistant design for LIVE with Kelly and Mark on ABC. Collaboration with directors, actors, and his design team is one of his favorite aspects of creating live theatre. He looks to constantly challenge his design work. Reach out to work on fun stuff!
